ABOUT PROJECT
All over Europe, policy makers are deciding things that influence our lives and our future and these
everyday-decisions are made locally, nationally and internationally. How much can young people
change and influence those decisions? Can we make a difference? Can we participate more in the
policy-making of our local communities and beyond?
This training course organized by EUROSUD offered opportunity for 30
young people, coming from 8 different countries, to answer the questions
mentioned above. During one week, they received unique experience in
democracy and participation.
Some of goals set out for this TC were:
- increase the active participation of youngsters within the European fragment,
- boost intercultural dialogue and enhance non-formal education,
- exchange views and reflections on the meaning of democracy and participation,
- explore the different variants, dimensions and potentialities of democracy
- share local, national and European initiatives aiming to encourage young people to active
participation
- stimulate and reinforce co-operation among participants
