Your page has been such an inspiration to many
people, any comments as regards that?
CAM:
OJ: Yes, errm I had no clue how much people followed my posts because
sometimes my friends say 'Juliana don't you think you're always preaching, can't
you just be social' and I'm like what's your definition of being social? Social media
is social enough, if you want to see anything social just go on social media, you'd
see different social things but what makes my page different is that I make sure not
to post a picture without passing a message across. There was this time where I
went for an interview somewhere and then I met a man who came up to me and
said hey, toyobaby, my wife is your very big fan and I'm like seriously and he said
yes, my wife said you've not posted in three (3) days and I said seriously I didn't
even know anybody followed my page like that, I'm like ohhh I've been very busy, I
spoke with her over the phone and she was talking to me about my last post, telling
me my caption, I'm like really, I didn't know people followed these things so you
know it encourages me to know that people follow me and then they read my
captions, learn from it and they're encouraged so yes its really encouraging.
CAM: What
advice do you have for upcoming and aspiring
actresses?
OJ: The road is rough, clumsy especially if you're for Christ. If you're for Christ,
you'd hear lots of naysayers, no you're not an actress, no if you can't do this, you're
not an actress but then keep your head up. Like I said stay focused, don't let people
talk you down and don't give up your values for anybody in the world. I tell you
something, the reason why it's quite difficult for Christians to get into the industry
now is because the Christians who have gone ahead of us have made mistakes,
they didn't stay strong all the way, they started as Christians and at some point they
drifted so it's difficult to get into the industry as a Christian. People would tell you
the history of some Christians who have been there and then they stopped been
Christians and you'd be like how are you sure I can make it but then the scriptures
says, permit me, 'if God be for us, nobody can be against us' so know that you're
the light and God is always with you. Just stay focused, don't give up your values
for anything, don't stop representing God, you don't have to go naked, you don't
have to do some scenes you don't want to do because trust me those things have
effects, they'll not tell you what the effect is, I tell you I have my story, they will not
tell you what it is. They will just make it seem like though it all good, it’s just acting
