New Year resolutions have been a norm for us year in , year out . We make certain promises to ourselves , some make it mentally while some even go ahead to write them down . Sometimes , we share the resolutions with others and sometimes we don ' t , we just plan to work on them low-key . It works sometimes while some doesn ' t work , we just repeat the same cycle over and over .

The truth is , you don ' t have to make those resolutions if you don ' t want to . Some of us make resolutions because everyone else is making them or because we just don ' t want to go with ' the flow ' which actually defeats the purpose of making the resolutions at all . It ' s another ' new year ' and I ' m sure a lot of us already have things we ' ve resolved to do this year but it ' s easier said than done right ? Maybe you want to stop smoking and drinking , or you want to start a course , or you want to get that job or save up that money this year , how about you start by taking conscious steps towards achieving them ?
