Ron Extract is an industry veteran who has spent the last quarter century finding various ways to transform his passion for beer and beer culture into a viable career . His beer journeys began in high school with a visit to Munich ’ s iconic Hofbräuhaus , and continued through college and grad school , during which he took up home brewing , helped to manage the campus pub , and traveled to beer destinations around the world . After taking Short Course in Brewing at Chicago ’ s Siebel Institute of Technology , he went on to work a variety of odd brewing jobs before transitioning to retail , distribution , and importing , and then returning to brewing as a managing partner at Austin , Texas-based Jester King . Last summer , Ron and his partner Amber Watts left Texas to start their new venture , Garden Path Fermentation , in Skagit County , Washington .

Jerry Gnagy started brewing beer in grade school at the age of 6 and learned quickly that he was slightly better than mediocre . During his formative years at Adams College , he won the big tricycle race with his fraternity Lambda Lambda Lambda propelling them over the Alpha Betas , thereby taking control of the Greek Council . Unfortunately , he blew out his Vitoglannis on the last lap and was forced to start Against the Grain Brewery which was the only career path where he could utilize his 5th-grade fart-joke skillset .

Tim is a 10-year veteran in the wine industry , after gaining his degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC , Davis . Tim spent time in France , Napa , Oregon and New Zealand before settling down back in Napa . His most recent venture is consulting winemaking projects under his company , Everybody Happy Wine Company , working with Leaf and Vine producing single vineyard and single varietal wines at his new facility in Napa , CA .

Dave Miller is the chef founder and owner of Baker Miller with his wife Megan Miller . He is also one of the founders and former owners of Bang Bang Pie Shop and Ipsento Coffee Company in Chicago . He enjoys coffee , movies , writing and studying business technology . His dream is to grow Baker Miller into a larger independent brand and he ’ s always looking for innovative ways to do that .

Nathan Warren and Amanda Sever are husband and wife winemakers and farmers . Together they have built and grown their dream of Harris Bridge Vineyard , beginning in 1999 when they purchased the 4-acre plot of abandoned railroad land in western Oregon on a credit card . Amanda ’ s background in art , food , and craft and Nathan ’ s experience in winemaking , music , and business have combined to create a winery , vineyard , farmhouse , family , and community in Harris Valley .
