ALICE & THE MAGICIAN FLAVOR ELIX- IRS AND COCKTAIL AROMATICS • $15+ Think of Alice & the Magician’s Elixirs and Cocktail Aromatics as comestible perfumes. Smell accounts for rough- ly 90% of what you taste, and each of the Alice & the Magician lines is meant to enhance that experience, through either ortho nasal olfaction (by way of your honker) with Cocktail Aromat- ics or retro nasal olfaction response (odor molecules that use the back of your throat to access your nasal cavi- ty) with Elixirs. A mist of Tomato Leaf Cocktail Aromatics spritzed just above your cocktail or food will linger as a fine cloud that smells of garden green- ery and summertime. A few drops of Southeast Asia Elixir in a gin and ton- ic will hit you with a plate of pho aro- matics, like kaffir lime leaf, ginger, Thai basil, cilantro, and lemongrass. So, while Cocktail Aromatics and Elix- irs don’t add flavor to your beverage and food, they do enrich the smell and taste of both, indubitably. TERFLY PEA TEA • $15 w Blue Chai organically grown butterfly pea flowers steeped in water render a delicate, floral cerulean tea that’s rich in flavo- and anthocyanin. And while you could enjoy this lovely tea for antioxidative and anti-inflammatory properties alone, the real ic happens with a slight shift in pH from a squirt of lemon, lime, few drops of acid phosphate, and the tea transforms from indi- o amethyst; it’s a brew too enchanting to resist. © Hundred-to-One LLC 2017.
