INNOVATIVE APPROACHES, INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS CPS Research, Development & Innovation Proven Performance Trials At CPS, research, development and innovation are at the heart of our work. It’s where we start and it’s how we continually improve and expand our seed offering. In 2018 we are continuing to assess and expand our corn and soybean offering. These new products, combined with ongoing research, development and innovation across our entire portfolio, prove our relentless commitment to bringing growers higher-performing seed. From sourcing high-yielding genetics to providing industry-leading research on breeding disease resistance traits, we put more than 50 of the best and brightest research minds in agriculture to work, finding solutions to help you achieve healthier crops and bigger yields. Field trials are the next step in providing our producers with tested and trusted seed lines. CPS is proud to operate the largest retail-managed field trial program in Western Canada, the Proven Performance Trials. Led by the experts on our CPS and Proven Seed teams, we work closely with hundreds of growers on large scale, producer-managed fields to gain vital insights into the performance of all our current as well as experimental seed varieties. We don’t guess, we test. We have the longest running canola breeding program in Western Canada, so we know that developing successful varieties always starts with the best germplasm. As we apply sophisticated agronomy and disease resistance traits, we help growers reach their goal of outright yield and yield stability. The result is superior quality seed for canola, cereals, soybeans, corn, forages, flax and mustard. New products, combined with ongoing research, development and innovation across our entire portfolio, prove our relentless commitment to bringing growers higher-performing seed. 2 We conduct our trials across the full range of western Canadian geographies so we know under which conditions our seed performs to its full genetic potential. The research, development and innovation team, Proven Seed team, our expert retail staff and participating growers collect the data from our trial sources. The breadth of knowledge and experience of these stakeholders ensures that the conclusions we draw are thorough and balanced — representing scientific and in-the-field expertise. It’s performance where it counts.
