Rainwater Harvesting with Greenlife
A brief interview with Sebastian Jacob, Technical Director of Greenlife GmbHm manufacturers and
proponents of greywater harvesting and waste water recycling.
WHAT KIND OF SOLUTIONS CAN GREENLIFE PROPOSE FOR THE
UK RAINWATER HARVESTING MARKET?
ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES ARE IMPORTANT, BUT
WHAT ARE THE FINANCIAL BENEFITS FOR THE INVESTOR?
From the Greenlife portfolio of products, we are able to combine water
management systems for each building. We typically start by examining
the figures, like water demands, and the possibilities on site for rainwater
harvesting.
The life cycle analysis shows the break-even point of investment into
‘green technology’ and also when the investor can start to make a profit
from investing in these solutions. In our various international projects we
focus on developing new technologies which are easier to implement into
each market. As many of our solutions draw upon a number of different
products from our range, we are able to tailor the final product to our
customers, and hence there will be different maintenance regimes (if any)
and thus differing whole life costs.
The range of Greenlife underground tanks starts at 700 litres and finishes
at 99,800 litres. We are also able to supply optimum sized filtration units
and pumping equipment, including a hybrid management system.
