Impact sound solution
Saint-Gobain launches CPD Series
Saint-Gobain, the leader
in the sustainable habitat
and construction market,
is launching a new series
of RIBA-approved CPD
seminars. The CPD’s
will be hosted at the
Saint-Gobain Innovation
Centre in central London,
giving easy access to a
wide range of topics and
building on the centre’s
already busy programme of
events related to sustainable
buildings.
The recent refurbishment and loft
conversion at Lairhilock Lodge
required a solution for the floors
where impact sound was kept to
a minimum. KW Contractors Ltd
consulted with SIG Insulation in
Aberdeen, who recommended
Profloor Ecoroll and Profloor
Ecoroll Adhesive, supplied by the A
Proctor Group.
Profloor Ecoroll provided a cost
effective solution to improve
the impact sound insulation. Up
to 22dB Lw can be achieved
by Ecoroll when used with soft
covering. Profloor Ecoroll is easy
to install, simply roll out and bond
to the existing floor surface. It
also satisfies the requirements,
on a concrete floor, for a bonded
resilient floor covering and is an
excellent vibration damper.
From September 2014 and
continuing throughout 2015, the
seminars will be free to attend
for architects, designers and
industry professionals. British
Gypsum, Ecophon, Isover,
SageGlass, Saint-Gobain Glass,
Saint-Gobain PAM, SolarGard,
