The A Proctor Group (stand N6036) will be exhibiting the benefits of both
airtight membranes for walls (Wraptite System) and breather membranes
for roofs (Roofshield) at this year’s Ecobuild.
Roofshield’s unique vapour and air permeability characteristics allow even the
most complex of pitched roofs to breathe
- without the need for traditional air gaps
or venting products, which may spoil the
aesthetics of your building. Roofshield is
as easy to install as traditional roofing felt.
Roofshield also complies with the latest
BS 5534 guidelines and experts will be
available to answer any queries regarding
this latest change in building regulations.
The Solar CarPort from Wind & Sun (stand S4152) has traditional oak
construction with modern lines. The CarPort is an ideal way to add Solar
PV to any property without major alterations and provides a sheltered
charging point for electric vehicles. The solar panels can provide feed-in
tariff income and charge the car for free.
The oak and steel frame CarPort has space for two vehicles and the PV
system is sized at 3.975kWp for maximum return.
Visitors to Ecobuild can also see brand new Vetrofluid; an innovative
new spray applied, concrete impregnating product. Vetrofluid penetrates
up to 40mm deep providing a waterproof and anti-deterioration barrier
to concrete surfaces that can potentially triple its lifespan. Not only
is Vetrofluid completely colourless, but it also leaves no films on the
surface, leaving the concrete completely unchanged aesthetically. With
Vetrofluid, there is no need to use other protection systems like bituminous
membranes, impregnating agents or water-repellent products, and
Vetrofluid can be used on any concrete surface.
The Wraptite system offers the ideal
option for a vapour permeable air barrier.
Designed to cost effectively replace
conventional breather membranes, in the
traditional manner, Wraptite is a low-resistance vapour permeable air barrier wall
underlay, which is durable, flexible and
lightweight, allowing for easy installation.
It offers temporary protection against
wind-driven rain, snow and dust.

‘Successful sealing has a system’ will be the theme of leading foam
sealant tape producer ISO-Chemie’s stand (s2070) at Ecobuild.
The company will be also be showcasing its new ISO-TOP WINFRAMER,
a structurally solid, pre-fabricated installation frame manufactured now
available in a range of new variations and sizes. The frame can be quickly
cut to length on site and secured in position using a single component
adhesive and, if necessary, fixing screws.
The six sealing systems on display, covering different building types and
functions, will include ISO3 Window system (which WINFRAMER is a part
of), the ISOE EWI (External Wall Insulation) system, the ISOF Flame fire
protection/fire rated product system (passive protection), and the ISOu
timber building system for a wide variety of timber frame buildings.
Peter Thompson, General Manager UK for ISO-Chemie, said that with
TRADA introducing a new test/certificate and logo for acoustic insulation
of windows, based on the A-E energy system, Ecobuild will be opportune
for showcasing sealing solutions for the sustainable design, construction
and built environment.
Mr DCE, Steve Hilton, will once again be manning the stand at
Ecobuild - N1042.
Please feel free to pop along and say hello and find out when your
local event will be in the area.
Steve will, no doubt, have a current joke to tell! Well, a joke of some
distant heritage anyway! He is always looking for new material to
use at the Meet the EXPERTS Technical Forums so please don’t
hesitate to call on the stand and tell your latest gag.
Here’s a thought - Why is abbreviation such a long word?
