CPABC attended, hosted, and sponsored many events this quarter to promote the accounting profession, including the Odlum Brown FWE* Gala: Pitch for the Purse, the BC Budget Recap, and Business in Vancouver's 2017 Influential Women in Business Awards. CPABC co-hosted the sold-out Canucks Game Night with the CPABC North Shore/Sunshine Coast Chapter. CPABC also sponsored the Human Resources Management Association conference and tradeshow and hosted an exhibition booth. CPABC's recruitment team attended a variety of career fairs. The team also hosted two CareerConnect Speed Interview Nights to give career seekers an opportunity to interview for jobs with prospective employers such as Davidson & Company LLP, Hootsuite, Interfor, and Steve Nash Fitness World and Sports Club. The CPABC recruitment team hosted CPABC's annual Business Case Competition for post secondary students and will host the annual COIN Competition. The CPABC recruitment team participated in Capilano University's Creating Connections forum, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce's Marketplace Mixer, the University of British Columbia's Me Inc. Conference, the Okanagan Business Students' Association Business Banquet, Douglas magazine's 10 to Watch Awards ceremony. CPABC's upcoming events include the Association of Women in Finance's PEAK Awards Gala, the Spring Pacific Summit, and Convocation, the 2017 BC CFO Awards, the BCBusiness Top 100 Networking Luncheon and CPABC's Fall Pacific Summit.
