__________________________________________________________________________________ After I got a bit more comfortable, I decided to close the lid to see if it made any difference. That was when I was taken aback. Instead of that sense of dread I imagined, I felt safe and warm and like nothing could harm me. This was the feeling I've been looking for and didn't even realise it. I floated in the pod with nothing but the sound of my breathing and my thoughts to keep me company. Now ask yourself this: when have you ever experienced such sublime silence? I fell into a deep state of relaxation. I couldn't feel the heaviness of my body or my tired, aching muscles and slowly but surely as I lay there floating, the worries of the day left me. Calmness washed over me. The things that stressed me out, suddenly felt insignificant. I felt safe and warm in my cocoon and I loved it. Did I have to leave my new founded tranquillity? I guess all good things must come to an end. Not in this instance. Stepping out of the pod and under the hot shower I was blown away at how I felt. I was floating, yes, even after coming out of the pod .My muscles weren't stiff anymore, in fact, I wondered if they even worked at all since I couldn't feel them. I felt light as a feather without a care in the world. To say that I was at peace with my mind, body and soul was an understatement. However, being the sceptic that I am, I was keen to see the after effects of the floating. I got home and as always I anticipated the usual whining and nagging from the kids. Yes! that's exactly what happened but what confused the kids was why I couldn't seem to muster any annoyance, let alone anger when they complained about each other and how miserably bored they were.
