Passing the room that the Quran was being recited for 400 years continuously was so soothing to the heart that not even the valuable exhibit in the Imperial Treasury where the 86 carat pear-shaped Spoonmaker’s diamond was housed, brought such joy to the heart as the recitation of the Holy Quran. If time permits, more history of the Muslim conquest of Constantinople can be learned at the Panorama 1453 History Museum.
