And if you’re like most women, the first idea that comes to mind before you rush off to work or a last minute function is to ‘mix and match’ a quick, suitable outfit. In between cooking, kids, hubbies and everything else that comes with life – we neither have the time to get those cupboards in order, nor have the mega-bucks to buy new sets of clothing every day! But being a busy woman or working within a (tight) budget doesn’t necessarily mean you have to dig deep into your pockets, or your time, to look your best. You simply need some ‘closet skills’. Here’s a short list of quick tips on how to put together a perfect outfit, and to help make sure you never pack out your entire closet just to find that one particular skirt - again! 8 1. The Closet Detox Keeping everything you buy, forever, will leave your wardrobe cluttered. You don’t need to hold on to clothing you know you won’t wear again. It only makes it harder to determine what you actually need. Remove outdated items, including jeans you (secretly) wish you’ll fit back into, as well as items that look like twins - such as too many reds or similar shaped pants. You could sell them online through various sites such as junk mail, gumtree and even your personal social media accounts. A more rewarding option, however, is to give them away as Sadaqah, and trust that Allah will bless you even more.
