Multimedia Basics
This course teaches digital career and communication skills by focusing on rich media
development through exploring students to a variety of digital design software applications to
generate presentations. In addition, students will learn the foundations of animation and
interactive design by completing various web production projects that will cover techniques and
strategies that are utilized in business and marketing. This course will require you to work well
independently and in groups. The core applications are Adobe Flash and Fireworks.
Video Production (New Course)
This course teaches career and communication skills in digital video production through
shooting video, story planning, audio recording, video editing, motion graphic techniques, and
project management skills. In addition, students will learn the foundations of video design and
production by completing various video production projects that will cover techniques and
strategies that are utilized in business and marketing. This course will require you to work well
independently and in groups. The core applications are Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, After
Effects, and Encore.
Web Page Design & Development
This course teaches digital career and communication skills that lay the foundation for producing
webready communications. Students will learn the most effective ways to search the web,
evaluate websites, and create an e‑portfolio. In addition, students will learn the foundations of
web design, online safety, and internet marketing while identifying the elements of a quality web
page through developing their own web pages in HTML code and various website builders. This
course will require students to work well independently and in groups. The core applications are
Adobe Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
