Country Music People March 2019 - Page 55

Wednesday, January 16 Started off the morning in Denver with a few more radio station visits before flying to Kansas City, Missouri where I’m finally getting to see some snow on this radio run! Lots of air/car miles happening this week, but it’s all worth it. Never be afraid to get tired chasing your dream. Couldn’t sleep so I got on Twitter to answer questions from some of my followers like my go to snack on a road trip (salt & vinegar chips) and Porter’s favorite toy (whichever one he hasn’t eaten). Thursday, January 17 Had visits in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri today, making the total count 6 cities in 3 states in less than four days. I also had a phone interview with a national media outlet to talk about “Raised On Country” and how me, Corey Crowder and Cary Barlowe wrote the song, where the idea came from and how it all came together. It’s kinda wild that three hours on a bus writing a song with friends can turn into all of this! Friday, January 18 Started in St Louis and it’s the last day of the first week of radio visits – I’ve been to 12 radio stations in 6 cities over 5 days and I’m wiped out but very happy and lucky to get to make music every day. Also, the Live Nation Mega Ticket announced today including the first round of dates on my “Raised On Country Tour.” Saturday, January 19 ” Today was my first day off in several weeks. It’s still winter but it was over 60 degrees, which is rare for January in Nashville so of course I headed out to play a few rounds of golf. Now I’m just hanging with my dog. Trying to get as much home time in as possible before I head back out again! MARCH 2019 - cmp 55
