Find the Diamond at
Pollyanna’s Celebration Exhibition
Art should captivate, enchant and inspire. Pollyanna Pickering’s
sensitive, compelling and compassionate painting certainly does
that. But art also needs an audience, and a home. Every winter wildlife
artist Pollyanna Pickering opens her private gallery for an exhibition of
paintings inspired by her love of British Wildlife. This year Pollyanna
is staging a very special event to commemorate the 60th exhibition in
her gallery at Brookvale House Oker, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 2JJ (AA
Signposted). Visitors can view over fi fty original paintings on display
to the public for the very fi rst time, in a relaxed and comfortable
atmosphere between 18 th Nov – 3 rd Dec (10am – 6pm). Pollyanna will
be on hand throughout and will be pleased to chat to visitors about her
work and the wildlife which inspires her.
To celebrate this very special landmark
exhibition, one of the original paintings on
display will include a real diamond mounted as
part of the picture! So one very lucky buyer
will own a genuine diamond as part of their
chosen artwork.
There will also be a competition to ‘Find the
Diamond’… for a small entry fee everyone
will be able to test their powers of observation
- and the fi rst correct answer drawn from
the hat following the exhibition will win a
unique prize. All proceeds will go to wildlife
conservation through The Pollyanna Pickering
Foundation.

Among the paintings on display there will be
the opportunity to view the painting of a Barn
Owl which was short listed for the Derbyshire
Life 2017 Landscape Artist of the Year
award, as well as the study which was awarded
the Gold Medal for Best Painting of 2017 by
