When mixing all the products together,
we did notice that more water needed to
be added. When the perfect texture was
achieved, we applied it to the face and left
it on for 10-15 minutes. The mask was very
easy to put on, and it smelled amazing with
the rose oil. Washing the product off the face
was very easy and immediately, skin looked
brighter and softer. The vitamin E from the
sunflower oil moisturized our skin, leaving
it feeling smooth and soft. Our overall
experience with the clay was amazing. We
felt like a esthetician mixing and concocting
different oils and bases for our mask. Seeing
amazing results was not too bad either.
The Cleanser
We have to say, the cleanser may have
been our favorite thing to try. We didn’t
expect our skin to feel even better after the
mask! The Body and Hair Cleanser base is
sulfate-free and unscented. If you want to try
the cleanser on the hair, note that the mixing
recipe will be different than the body.
Again, following the instructions, we
mixed 4 tablespoons of cleanser base, 3
tablespoons of 100% pure sunflower oil and
and opted for a different aromatherapeutic
oil, frankincense & myrrh. The smell was
much more calming than the Rose oil,
but both had an equally relaxing feel. The
products mixed excellently together, and
we did not need to add anything extra. The
end result was a light mixture that felt softer
than we anticipated. A little went a long way
when applying it to our face.
Disclosure: Your skin will feel the best
it’s ever felt. This Cleanser is by far the
best we’ve tried on our face. It felt like it
restored the moisture in our skin that the
mask removed during its deep clean. We
began to question if there was even a need
to add a moisturizer after because of how
hydrated our skin was. Again, we definitely
recommend trying the cleanser.

The Moisturizer
For the moisturizer, we decided to alter the
instructions that were given to us. With creating this
hack, the directions usually recommend that you start
with the Moisturizer Base. We decided to use the 100%
raw shea butter. The 100% raw shea butter “deeply
moisturizes and smoothes,” while containing “vitamins
and essential fatty acids”. We mixed 3 tablespoons of
the butter with 100% Sunflower Oil and again, a drop
of the Rose fragrance oil. As expected, our skin was
instantly hydrated and glowing, looking healthy and
clean. We received so many compliments around the
store with customers seeing the end result from using
all three products. We have to say, Shea Moisture has
definitely created something amazing.
