akeup artists from across
the US and abroad all
spilled into the Metro-
politan Pavilion in Man-
hattan on May 6th-8th for the 2017
Makeup Show NYC. The show was an
unbridled success with more than 85
brands bringing a weekend of education,
demonstrations, and new products. Of
the five shows that occur throughout the
year, the NYC event is by far the largest
and this year’s was one of their best on
record. The aisles and classrooms alike
were packed with professionals all tak-
ing in what the show had to offer.
Owner Shelly Taggar explains the
concept best, “The Makeup Show is not
only a trade show or just a place to shop
and take classes, it is a place to get in-
spired, get focused, to be among other
industry peers, and share your knowl-
edge and experience and love of make-
up. The Makeup Show has given artists
