Mild Top Thinning
For mild top thinning, you can use a smaller top piece. Find one that matches the texture and color of your natural hair
so you’ll be able to seamlessly blend the piece into hair. Again, you’ll be able to simply clip the piece in, adjust, and
blend to create easy volume and coverage. Hairuwear has recently consolidated all of the partial hair loss solutions

offered into a collection called Transformations™. There you’ll find all of the products suggested here from both Raquel
Welch and Gabor. For top thinning that is fairly mild and doesn’t spread over a wide surface area, try Chameleon from
Raquel Welch or Top Tier from the Gabor collection. Polaris also offers a great top piece for mild cases of thinning,
and this company will work with you to customize each piece to fit you perfectly. The piece may look small in pictures,
but it actually covers a wider area.
Severe Top Thinning
For more severe thinning on the top of the head, try a piece with a wider
base such as Sonata or Top Billing, both from the Raquel Welch collection.
The pieces mentioned here have monofilament bases and are able to mimic
the look of natural hair growth in the part area. Top Billing is unique because it offers a lace front as well, making it a great alternative to a full wig.
Polaris offers an interesting solution for severe thinning. Because it can
be difficult to blend a piece that isn’t a full wig, Polaris’ piece offers five
strings, each with space between them so that you’re able to pull your own
hair through for ultimum blending. You can see this in the photos we’ve
included where the top piece is black and the hair underneath is brown.
