Laureth Sulfates (SLES) are also found in detergents and surfactants, which create foam when
used, and they are is considered to be the most
dangerous ingredients in hair care products. PEG
and Propylene Glycol (PG) or Polyethylene Glycol
can cause premature aging of the skin. FD and C
Color Pigments and fragrances that are appealing
to consumers are also considered dangerous and
toxic.
2. Avoid heat as much as possible
Blow dryers, hot curlers, curling irons, flat irons–
these are the common tools used to restyle the hair.
These tools heat the water present in our hair and
cause it to expand, creating spaces inside the hair
strand, which weakens the hair. To avoid this, you
can either find hairstyles that go with your natural hair, or you can use no heat methods. This,
of course, can only be possible if you want to air
dry or curl your hair for naturally straight hair. If
applying heat is necessary, always use a heat protectant spray every time you touch your hair with
your curling wand or flat iron– spray on every
single section of hair that you are about to curl or
straighten.
3. Be careful when brushing, combing or styling
Aggressive pulling or tugging while brushing or
combing your hair can cause it to snap. The more
force you apply when styling your hair can weaken
the strands. It can also cause static or frizz, giving you a bad hair day. Also, rubbing your hair dry
with a towel can weaken it. Pat dry your hair in-
stead, and gently squeeze out the water. Be gentle
when handling your hair, don’t be aggressive. Hair
is like your skin; if you’re rough with your skin, it
becomes sensitive and prone to irregularities. So
treat your hair gently and lovingly as you would
with your skin.

are certain vitamins and minerals that our hair absorbs that make it grow healthy, shiny, and strong.
Vitamin A aids in the secretion of sebum. As we
all know, our hair needs sebum, or the natural oils
that our follicles make. But too much of this vitamin can cause Hypervitaminosis A, which can lead
to oily scalp and hair loss.
B Complex has five types of vitamins that are
needed for healthy hair: B2 (riboflavin), B5 (pantothenate) commonly found in shampoos and conditioners, B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine)
deficiency in this vitamin can cause dermatitis,
which is often the cause of slower hair growth and
thinning. B7 (biotin) is one of the many ingredients
in hair care products to strengthen the strands, B12
(cobalamin) signs of deficiency in this vitamin include the graying of hair.
Vitamin C produces tyrosine in the body, which
the body needs to give hair its strength and nourish
the cells of hair follicles. Vitamin C deficiency can
cause hair to fall out.
Deficiency of vitamin D can cause a disruption
of the hair follicle, leading to hair loss. It shortens
