This month we’re recapping both the Grammys and the Oscars (on page 96), which both took place in February. While the Oscars tend to produce a little more safe, more formal looks, what we love about the Grammys is that musicians often love to rock a unique hairstyle, and this year did not disappoint. The lob ruled the runway at the Grammy Awards this year. Carrie Underwood, Adele, and Taylor Swift, three of music’s biggest names, all sported adorable lob/bobs. Taylor wore it with straight cut bangs and a red lip and looked so charming. Lady Gaga, in classic Gaga fashion, wowed with a neon shade of orange hair. She paired that with a blue dress and super blue eye shadow. Always unique, Janelle Monae wore two thick pigtail braids and makeup that made her skin look almost glowing. Selena Gomez and Kacey Musgraves kept it pretty tame with soft, flowing curls and an elegant ponytail, respectively. As for the men, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, and John Legend all wore tight, short cuts, though Smith sported a full beard and Pharrell wore a blonde hue. Whiz Khalifa, one of our favorites to watch on the red carpet, wore shoulder length locks and Brian Head Welch, of course, his signature long locks.
