Review
Bobbi Boss, I have never gotten so many hair
compliments in my life. These were installed
right before a concert and I can’t even count
the number of times I was stopped by people
admiring my hair. What’s unique is this style
brings other cultures together for a universal
admiration of feeling for hair. It wasn’t just my
race of African Americans loving my hair, but
Caucasian, Asian, Latina giving me compli-
ments. It was young, middle class, elders and
traditional-looking people giving me compli-
ments. This hair sparked a conversation with
myself and other races that would not have
started if it wasn’t installed on my head. In a
sense, these Bomba Braids are the universal
harmony needed between different cultures.
The length of the hair proved to be the right
choice. Although getting in the car or sitting in
a chair became a careful exercise, the braids
wouldn’t have looked any better in any other
length on me. The color was the most fasci-
nating and best experience with this hair. As
traditional as I am, this color has opened a
Pandora’s box of styles I later want to try and
highlight. I realize I shouldn’t be afraid of the
stares because they’re not despising the color,
but praising. The special colors are Boss’ great-
est invention to this collection.
