EVENT IN ONTARIO
Back to Blue, a three day educational event for stylists and salon owners was held October third through
fifth at the Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario, Canada.
“Back To Blue is four years in the making,” explained
Murphy, in a press release before the event. “This event
is designed to help stylists and salons set themselves
and their businesses apart. We have a great lineup of
presenters who will be sharing their expertise. We are
excited to share our knowledge and help interested
stylists and salons grow.” Back to Blue featured educational topics such as Runway, Cutting, Styling, Colour
and Business Building. In addition to Murphy, other
keynote speakers included COLOR.ME Director of
Education Kate Reid, KEVIN.MURPHY CUTTING.

geometric and rounded shapes, making a weightless
line with swing and movement, shaping rounded bangs,
undercutting through the back sections, and how to use
a razor when cutting close to the root. Each technique is
highlighted in demos before you execute them in supervised model and mannequin workshops.”
ISSE 2016 DATES ANNOUNCED
The PBA’s (Professional Beauty Association) International Salon and Spa Expo 2016 will be held January
30th through February 1st in Long Beach, California. Tickets are now on sale for the expo which will
include three days of top-notch education, hands-on
competitions, special celebrity guests, and more. This
year ISSE offers the three day passport ticket for $30 to
members of the PBA and $60 for non-members. See the
ISSE website for other ticketing options. Ted Gibson,
Tabatha Coffey, Leah Freeman, and others will make
appearances at the expo. ISSE ticket prices increase after January 4, 2016.
