ashion World Ent., Inc., the maker of the Bohyme® & Onyx® brands has spent over 30
years in the industry to enrich and inspire individuals to express their personalities, gain
self-confidence, and improve their lives.
Fashion World is a family owned and locally operated
company based in Chicago. Started in 1972, president
and founder Se Heum Hong, with the support of his
wife and children, has always strived to combine industry expertise with his love for beauty in his products. It wasn’t until 1980, Mr. Hong produced Fashion
World’s first official 100% human hair brand known
as Unique Wiiv®. As customers started trying out his
products, demand grew exponentially, allowing Mr.
Hong to expand his business and come up with new,
innovative product lines, such as Black Diamond®
(1985), Onyx® (1989), and Bohyme® (1990). One of
Mr. Hong’s proudest achievements came in 2001 when
he introduced REMI® into the hair industry. Fashion
World was the first hair extension company to create a
method for preserving hair cuticles and aligning them
in a unidirectional way to create products that are completely natural in appearance and feel. Fashion World is
proud to be able to be a leader in setting new standards
with its products and innovation. In today’s hair market,
the term remi® is recognized as one of the most widely
used industry terms.
