HAIR GROWTH AND VITAMINS
The Whole Truth
About Hair Growth
and Vitamins

I
t’s time to get honest about hair growth and vitamins. It seems like every
day there is a new hair growth supplement on the market complete with side
by side hair growth comparison photos on Instagram leaving even the most
confident of us experiencing hair envy. Who wouldn’t want to achieve long,
full, luxurious hair? If vitamins can help us get to that goal, we’re all in, but, with
the growing number of brands and the claims getting bolder, things can become
tricky when we’re actively searching for a solution to a problem and we
don’t know what’s true or not. Sure, sign us up for hair growth supplements but the question is: do they really work?
Just as with any type of hair product, hair growth vitamins for us
hopeful gals just wanting to grow luscious locks can be a huge
success or total fail. How do you know what your body needs?
How do you know which brand to buy? How do you know
if it will work? Having great hair is hard work! To help clear
through the clutter, the Instagram feeds, and the before and
after pictures—here’s the whole truth about your hair and
vitamins.
When discussing hair growth and vitamins, it’s important
we start off by saying: there is no vitamin that can make
your hair grow. If you read that statement from any brand
promoting hair growth vitamins, cross that one off your list
to try. Your hair, like every other part of your body, needs
nutrients to function at its best, and if you lack some vitamins that are key with having healthy hair, you may notice
a difference in the state of your hair. Making sure you’re
getting the proper vitamins that promote hair growth is essential if you’re hoping to add some inches to your tresses,
but vitamins alone have not been proven to actually make
your hair grow.
The connection between hair and vitamins comes down
to taking supplements containing vitamins that promote
healthy hair growth. Whether that’s a daily multivitamin
or a hair growth specific vitamin, getting these key nutrients has a positive effect on the condition of your hair.
Supplements that contain vitamin D, iron, zinc, biotin, and
vitamins A & E are just a few nutrients that healthy hair
thrives on. Each of these vitamins promote a different
purpose so it’s good to know what each does and how
you can expect your hair to improve with use.
