make on a guy. It’s a sad reality that many curly-haired
men hate their curls due to their lack of knowledge on
how to correctly manage the curly tresses atop their
heads. When I started seeing with my own eyes the immensely-positive impact that my advice was having on
guys who had, until then, hated their curls, I knew there
and then that it was my duty to spread the word further
and provide solutions to curly dudes worldwide.
Believe it or not, I was never a fan of blogging until I
started Manly Curls! As a matter of fact, I knew nothing
about how the internet worked, and I wasn’t quite sure
if a blog would be the right fit for me. However, when
I started Manly Curls four years ago, I was instantly
hooked on the blogging experience.
in which my words have impacted them so positively.
I am myself so thankful to be able to help curly guys
worldwide to embrace and rock their curls, and Manly
Curls was created from the get-go for that very purpose:
to inspire curly guys to embrace their curls by giving
them the right advice and knowledge.
4. Tell us about your books
Well, my books were created as the next step in my
quest to help curly guys and non-curly guys with their
hair. I first wrote The Curly Hair Book in 2013 as a way
to expand on my Manly Curls website and as a way to
integrate everything about curly hair into a single and

book is some 230 pages long and covers even more
stuff than what I’ve covered over at Manly Curls.
The Curly Hair Book was based on my experience
with not just my curly hair but also on my experience
with others’ curly hair. Likewise, I used all the feedback
from my readers that I had gotten until then through
Manly Curls to write about the things that curly men
didn’t just need but things that they also wanted to read.
Interestingly, many curly guys wanted to read about the
experience of living life as a guy with an epic mane of
curls, yet, of course, they too needed to know how to
sport that same epic mane of curls.

all the positive feedback from the book, I decided to
3. What inspires you to blog?
My inspiration to blog is the positive impact that I
am creating on those who read my words. Essentially,
my readers are my inspiration to continue to blog because I’ve always wanted Manly Curls to be an online
resource for everyone (curly guys and non-curly guys)
to browse around and learn the reality of curly hair for
men: that you can conveniently rock an epic mane so
long as you follow the right advice and acquire the right
knowledge!
I’ve lost count of how many emails and comments
I’ve gotten over the years of guys thanking me for helping them out via Manly Curls and via my books; it’s
incredibly humbling to hear their stories and the way
