MANLY CURLS The Blog for Men and Girls for their Men M anly Curls is a blog for men and their curly hair. It aims to show men and women for their men, how to care and style their curly locks. This blog is constantly updated with the latest on men’s grooming trends and product reviews by Rogelio. He has also written two books on men’s hair entitled The Curly Hair Book and The Men’s Hair Book, both of which Rogelio will talk about in the interview. Rogelio is one mysterious blogger who prefers to live a private life. But through this interview, we’ve discovered a man with his best interests to keeping the men’s grooming industry alive and with his passion to share his curly hair grooming secrets. 1. Tell us about yourself and your career My name is Rogelio, and I’ve been travelling the world for the last 13 years as I lived in different countries due to my professional career. My professional background is in foreign trade and commerce, hence I’ve spent a good part of my life travelling and meeting all kinds of people. Outside of my profession, I am better known as the author of the website Manly Curls, a website that has been dubbed in the past as “the website that every girlfriend and wife 66 COSMOBIZ SALON NOVEMBER 2015 is ordering her curly boyfriend or husband to study so as to get said curly boyfriend or husband to grow his curls.” Incidentally, Manly Curls has a strong female fan base and many of these ladies are literally telling me that they do indeed order their significant others to go through my articles and read my books so that they (curly boyfriends/husbands) grow a lusciously-wild and sexy, curly mane. Go figure! 2. How did Manly Curls start and how long have you been blogging? I have been doing all kinds of experiments and tests on my curly hair for many years so as to learn what worked and what didn’t work for curly hair; ergo, I soon got to learn more about my curls than the average guy. Thus, many curly-haired friends of mine (and friends of my friends) would flock to me to ask questions and ask for advice on how to style, manage, and look after their curls. This was in my early 20s, and I got to see how much of a difference the right advice on curly hair would images: www.shutterstock.com Blogger Interview
