We have to do lots of quick turnarounds. ally in at the moment, and some nice soft braids as well so we’ve kept it very current, very on trend.” With the profession of more natural and nude looks, Bellis noted that one of her favorite designers to work with was Candy Rock Couture because it was so different. “She’s very much Punk Rock Barbie Princess. They look great on the runway, great under the lights. She has lots of PVC, and she had skateboards out there. We designed a look for her that was real mohawks and color pop lips with lots of pink, lots of rainbow eyes. That was a very exciting look, something different, because a lot of the other designers want the opposite: very muted and nude, very natural. We have in this show, one end of the spectrum to the other, from very natural to very out there.” Because of the timing difficulty, both Bellis and Shelton noted that keeping everything running smoothly is the real challenge to a show of this size. “It’s very difficult to manage because, as you can see, we have a lot of designers and the shows run every 15 minutes all day.
