Wits Career Day -29 April 2016
Coschem took part in a career day hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand ( Wits ) to inform students on the myriad job opportunities in the cosmetics , personal care and home care industries . These include research and development , process engineering , microbiology and biochemistry , quality , safety , safety , health and environmental technology , procurement and logistics , marketing and sales , legislation and compliance . The Coschem booth was hosted by the following members Kirsten Scott , Lyndsay Calenborne , Kim MacCallum ; Liezanne van der Walt and Ronald Makola .
Industry and society promotion Apart from promoting the Coschem Facebook page , flyers on the society and its various activities , and the industry as a whole were handed out along with samples from Amka and copies of various editions of SA Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Review .
The flyers provided the students with comprehensive information on the society and how it supports its members . The Coschem diploma was also a key point of discussion on the day .
Laboratory Opening – 2 September 2016 The inaugural opening of the laboratory took place on 2 September 2016 . These facilities will be utilized for training purposes .
Communicating with members Regular updates and reports are loaded on to both the Coschem and IFSCC websites .
