With Corpus Christi ahead 5-2, Richie Martin reached to begin the ninth via a throwing error by SS Antonio Nunez. Jacob Dorris then yielded a single to Brett Vertigan and a RBI groundout by Max Schrock. Beau Taylor was hit by a pitch, putting the tying run on first base. Dorris battled back to strikeout Tyler Marincov but Yairo Munoz extended the game with a walk. Ryan Deemes entered from the bullpen to face Rosa, who deposited a 1-1 pitch over the right-field fence. The Hooks scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning. Bobby Boyd’s three-run home run highlighted the effort. Drew Ferguson added a two-out RBI double, and scored on Garrett Stubb’s single down the right-field line. Ben Bracewell left in favor of Kyle Friedrichs, who spun 5 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to record the victory. 151
