In front of 5,059 fans and in the first playoff game at Whataburger Field since 2006,
Hooks starting pitcher Ross Seaton delivered, but Corpus Christi’s bats did not.
Seaton allowed two earned runs and struck out six RoughRiders in 7 1/3 innings,
while the Hooks bats went silent against Frisco starter Nick Tepesch. Corpus Christi
managed just one hit in seven innings against Tepesch, while rehabbing Astro Jed
Lowrie went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts out of the cleanup spot. The RoughRiders
scored three runs in the ninth inning against the Hooks bullpen to secure a 5-0 win
and a series sweep.
