As such, it is perfectly reasonable to say that Christ’s teaching is incredibly explicit about fanatics. Christ has no time for Pharisaical hypocrisy, and this applies perfectly to terrorist groups. If one believes in a resurrected Christ and the Holy Spirit living in us, one is no longer blindly following a religious code, but understands the exact opposite--that the law is not the be-all and end-all; rather, it is fulfilled by Christ and made complete (Matt 5:17).
