kaepernick and the many other athletes who are living up to their responsibility to this country by using their first amendment right have seen a backlash. some athletes have lost endorsement deals. the washington spirit women’s soccer team played the national anthem before allowing the teams onto the field to prevent megan rapinoe from taking a knee publicly in solidarity with the movement. despite the backlash, the boos, the bullshit of corporate bullying these men and women are doing what they think is right.
