We are currently in a very decisive election year believe it or not. How can I say this when it is not a State or Federal Election Year? Well, because my theory will never change. I believe that if we are going to win at all in 2014 or in 2016 then, we are going to need pass through 2013 and 2015 first! Many minor parties, that are like us, already have this concept down. They know that if they are going to ever win the big elections some day they need to win some key smaller elections first.
So, how can we think that it would be any different for us? How can we put up a Gubernatorial Candidate or a Presidential Candidate as a National Party if as a State Party we are not doing all within our power to step up and run for local offices throughout Pennsylvania? People are always asking that very crucial question, "How many people within the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania hold office?" Well, when confronted with this question I can only answer, "one."
I want to be able to answer that question with a much bigger number than "one" though do not get me wrong, I am quite grateful for the one person in our party who holds office now. But, "one" can not nor can it ever be enough if we are expecting to be a viable party one day! So, how should we proceed in 2013 and in 2015? What is our vision for 2014 and 2016? I say we need to start out small and work our way up. It really is the only way we are going to make things happen.
You all still have time to decide to run for office in your respective areas. If you want to get signatures you have until August 1, 2013. If you would rather you can also run a "Write-In Campaign" which can be a bit more work and time but, I would still encourage it since it is better than the alternative which would be not to run at all.
Remember that you are not just doing this for the party but, you are doing this for the people and for the future of our great nation. Now another key is to also prepare now for 2014 which is the Pennsylvania Gubernatorial Election in which we will need someone who would be willing to run for Governor and Lt. Governor and other statewide positions. Then in 2015 we have more municipal elections and to end it all we have the Presidential Race in 2016 and then there will also be other statewide races that we will need people to step up and run for. So, start talking to your family and praying to receive the answers you need that will lead you to want to serve your nation.
