We walked away from this trip with one common goal — pro-
mote cotton. It was a great learning experience.
United Ag will soon begin collecting denim for recycling. The
program is called “The Blue Jeans Go Green.” We will keep you
informed and updated on program details. Recycled denim is
used to make denim insulation.
If you are interested in going on one of the Cotton, Inc. tours,
please contact United Ag for upcoming tour information. Their
hospitality was outstanding. Thanks Jackie and Martha for taking
time to learn more about cotton!
Getting back to our local coop, we are preparing for the upcom-
ing cotton harvest. We learned a lot after Harvey. Hopefully, we
will not face this situation again. One of our main goals this season
is to have a better handle on our varieties. Please, at your earliest
convenience, stop by, call, text or email us your cottonseed varieties
planted on each farm. We will furnish you with an overall variety
recap at season end.

Also, do not forget to let our dispatcher know if your cotton is
contracted to a specific buyer who wants your cotton to be deliv-
ered to a different warehouse other than United Ag or Gulf Com-
press. This is very important. We will not be responsible for cotton
delivered to the incorrect warehouse. It is not cost effective nor can
we move cotton after it has been delivered to a warehouse.
We are excited and ready for the upcoming season. We will be
sending out harvest letters soon. Have a safe and bountiful harvest!
