HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF EFFORTS led by United Ag Thank you for helping us provide relief to those suffering the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. HELPING HAND Despite our community being hit hard by Hurricane Harvey, our customers came together in a huge way to assist in relief efforts. We are proud to call Wharton County home and, though the recovery is far from over, we are happy to serve and assist in any way we can. Texas Strong. T he agricultural community is like a family in many ways, particularly in its deep rooted unity in the face of a crisis.Whether it be fires raging in the Panhandle or flooding happening close to home, our community always comes together to help our fellow farmers and ranchers in need. With the cooperation of our community, 11 truckloads of round hay bales were donated from the United Ag Gin Lot to Beaumont to provide relief for our Gulf Coast neighbors. Maldonado Brothers Trucking hauled the hay for us — another example of the ability of all players in the agricultural community to work together to ensure that needs are met. United Ag also donated hay to Wharton County ranchers impacted by Harvey. The resilience of our farmers and ranchers in this time has been tremendous. Even though our local producers were hit hard by the storm, they found a way to help both our county and others affected by the torrential waters. We thank everyone who made relief efforts possible!
