Garland ISD has once again received a rating of
Aaa from Moody’s Investors Service—the highest
Visual and Performing Arts Director George
Jones recently won the Texas Bandmasters
Association’s 2018 Lifetime Administrator
Achievement Award, which signifies an
outstanding career in music education, as well
as many contributions to the profession. Jones’
39-year career has been spent solely in GISD,
with 18 years as a middle and high school band
director and 21 years in his current role.
