18 WINTER 2016 Click here to read more on our website OUR TRAINING RESTAURANT AT THE AYR CAMPUS WAS RECENTLY REFURBISHED AND THE RELAUNCH OF TASTE@ AYR TOOK PLACE IN NOVEMBER WITH OUR HOSPITALITY STUDENTS SHOWING OFF THEIR CULINARY SKILLS BY PREPARING AN EXCLUSIVE LUNCH FOR INVITED GUESTS. Industry partners, prospective clients and regulars enjoyed a complimentary six course tasting lunch prepared by our SVQ Level 2 and 3 Professional Cookery students. Looking after front of house were NC Hospitality students. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, local ingredients and meals are prepared and served by students every week. Regular customer Dot Rennie, from Ayr, has been coming to the restaurant every week for the last 25 years. Dot describes the restaurant as a “hidden gem”, while June and Neil Courtney from Prestwick said “We love the informal atmosphere of the restaurant and feel that we’ve got to know the staff well.
