6 The month of projects, fundraiser, RTI week & NLC – a very busy month overall where all the tables were busy working in every way possible. It started off with the mega inauguration of Toilet block @ the Gateway of India, a project initiated by Area 6 followed by a hurricane of activities at Area 6 with every Table contributing to the society and helping make the RTI week a mega success: While BRT7 & BLC19 donated 850 Limbs worth Rs.8.5 Lakhs at Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, followed by a project benefitting 20 children - a donation towards Montessorri equipment, followed by Maternity Kits distribution towards MITU Foundation which is focused on driving, Participating and supporting various activities for the less fortunate sections of society followed by donation towards a one for the Aged. Rations, Sanitary Kits, were also donated. VRT23 & VLC41 planned this RTI Week in a very unique way - they split into 13 teams of 2 each members and conducted a mammoth 56 projects during the RTI & LC India week. They visited old age homes, schools, orphanages, schools for special children. They also conducted blood donation & eye camps, and provided provisions to old age homes, donated snacks to Inmates of Anbu Illam - a school for special children, lunch for Rehab Centre Children, Provided toilet cleaning essentials at a learning centre for special children, and various other donations apart from the multiple camps like Blood Donation Camp where they managed 144 donors to donate blood, Eye Camp for 200 members, Planting Saplings, Uniformsfor children, Sweaters for Old Age Home inmates, Dental Camp an the list is endless. They rounded off RTI Week with a family trip by bus to Yelagiri hills. It was a fun trip and a great way to end an amazing RTI Week.
