Whatever Annie’s original reason for switching to cloth (now lost in the mists of evolution), she is
now a fully-fledged collector. A distant cousin of the magpie, Annie Addict takes the ‘every washable
nappy I buy saves me money’ logic to its extreme conclusion. Prior to motherhood, Annie may have
been a voracious collector of shoes or handbags. She now dedicates her shelf space to gorgeous
fluff. She hangs out on online nappy groups and knows exactly when limited edition patterns are
likely to be released, and is not afraid to pay over RRP for something very special or to complete
a set of patterns. Annie Addict is likely to have nappies for specific occasions or to match special
outfits (of hers of her baby’s). Her stash is constantly growing, and her OH may not be aware of
its true extent.
