Dear Members,
The summer is coming to an end and
school is back in session. The big yellow
buses are back on the streets and soon
we will see an increase in road traffic
when the snowbirds start to return.
Business continues to move ahead,
with residential and commercial sales
up for the month of July. There are
currently over 800 active commercial
listings in our Catylist system with 180
members.
We at the Realtor® Association
have enjoyed some great summer
education sessions including national
speaker, Jim Van Allen, International
Day, Community Land Trust, and the
Leadership Academy class had Past
NAR President Ron Phipps come
and speak about ‘A Roadmap to
Leadership.’

for
Amendment
2 because Amendment 2 is for
Everybody! Here are some important
things to consider with the upcoming
election on Amendment 2:
• Protects Floridians from certain
property increases by keeping a 10%
annual cap
• Keeps rent affordable
• Allows businesses to thrive and keeps prices low on the
goods they sell
• Doesn’t impact funding for schools or emergency services
Your Leadership team traveled to the Core Logic Conference,
Inman Connect, and the Florida Realtors® convention this
summer and brought back some great ideas for programs
and some new technologies and trends that we are preparing
to share with the membership. Look for these this fall and into

early 2019.
The Florida Realtors® Convention “Make Magic in Real
Estate” was filled with educational opportunities, a great
Trade Expo, and governance meetings. Many members
were able to attend including our Leadership Academy class.
The 2019 State Association officers and NAR Directors were
elected and Bylaw and Amendment changes were voted
on at the Board of Directors meeting to close out the week.
Thank you to all of our members who attended the conference
and took time from their businesses and families to educate
themselves and attend the Governance meetings.
We are looking ahead to a great line up of events this fall with
events, education classes, and celebrating 50 Years of Fair
Housing.
Thank you for joining in as we “Own It & Take it to the Next
