WE HAVE BECOME THE FIRST AND ONLY COLLEGE IN
SCOTLAND TO BE CERTIFIED BY THE WELDING INSTITUTE.

To gain this prestigious award, our Engineering team had to
complete two audits over five days by TWI Certification Ltd
(TWI CL).
John Brampton, the lead auditor from TWI CL, was very
complimentary of our staff commenting that we had the best
college facility he had seen in the UK. There are 40 welding bays
at our Kilmarnock Campus where we will now have access to the
TWI’s welding procedures.
This means that we will be able to offer specialist coded welder
training to industry and provide an enhanced learning and
teaching experience for our students.
Digital Skills Forum
We held our first Digital
Skills Forum in October.
The forum provides a
structured opportunity
to engage with
employers and other
partners on improving
digital skills and
providing greater
opportunities for
young people.
