Connecting women in STEM

AYRSHIRE CONNECTS EVENT.
Ayrshire Connects is a mentoring network for
female STEM (science, technology, engineering
and maths) and construction students across the
college.
The ‘Cheese. Wine. Chatter’ event at the new
Inver training restaurant in our Ayr Campus
brought together female students, staff, teachers
and representatives from external organisations
to hear Michelle talk about her career.
Michelle was an Ayrshire College student in
the 1990s.

Also speaking was Lisa Little, Health, Safety and
Wellbeing Officer at the College who shared her
career journey from chemist to her current role.
The night was the latest in a series of events to
provide women studying towards a STEM career
the opportunity to network with their peers and
women in the industry sectors they aspire to
work in.
