CENTRE IN IRVINE.
The committee oversees
a programme of service
design, development and
improvement on behalf of the
SDS board in respect of their
key services such as careers
advice in schools and national
training programmes such as
Modern Apprenticeships.

and chaired the meeting.
Heather Dunk and Vice
Principal Jackie Galbraith
outlined the purpose of the
Skills Centre of Excellence
campus - situated within
Irvine Royal Academy - which
opened in September 2014
and attracted nearly 300
students in its first year.
At the end of the discussion,
current and previous students
in engineering, sport and
fitness, and hospitality talked
to committee members about
their experiences at Ayrshire
College. Amongst them was
Dale Dunlop, a former Irvine
Royal Academy pupil.
