The Goiserer Traun River starts from the Hallstatter in Ste- eg, and continues for about 4.3 km until it reaches the town of Bad Goisern. The boundary of this fly fishing zone is loca- ted 200m above the Bad Goisern’s bridge. The Traun River is a large river, with an average width of 20-30 meters and has great numbers of trout and grayling as well. Fast stretches are interrupted by deep pools and calmer water, where gravel and weed offer harbourage to most fish. The Goiserer Traun is best known for its large grayling, whi- ch often reaches the size of 50cm. Big rainbows and wild brownies are also there.
