The Tre-Doridge and the Trecastell Suite have both benefitted from a refurbishment in the last year. In total, the Vale Resort has 13 multi-functional meeting and conference suites, which between them can cater for more than 1,200 delegates, with each one benefiting from natural light, air-conditioning and state-of-art media equipment, which can be tailored to suit individual client requirements. But of course, the scale and flexibility of the meeting rooms is just one aspect that event organisers look for when booking venues. It’s often the added extras that make all the difference – and this is where the Vale Resort comes into its own. The resort has partnered with local team building organisations, including Call of the Wild, Cardiff International White Water, and Wings of Wales, to offer tailored packages to suit business objectives and budgets. Indoor surfing, paddle boarding, falconry, quad biking, white water rafting and canyoning are all on the menu for delegates to test their problem solving and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. These courses can also be accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to enable delegates to put them towards their programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). There’s also plenty of things to do for delegates when they have some down-time. As winner of the Best Golf Hotel in Wales at the World Travel Awards for the second year running, the Vale Resort is home to two championship courses, the Wales National and the Lake Course, enabling delegates to make sure they’re on par on the course as well as off it. Those who like their downtime to be slightly less energetic can always head to the Vale Spa. Beddoe continues: “Over the past few years, we’ve hosted events and conferences by some major household names and many of our bookings are repeat business – so once corporates experience first-hand what we have to offer – they come back time and time again. “We are constantly investing in our product to make sure we offer the best experience to our delegates. Last year, for example, we revamped each of the resort’s 143 bedrooms in an investment worth £500,000, as we know that it’s not just the meeting rooms that are important – it’s the whole package. “This programme of investment is continuing this year with further upgrades to many parts of the resort planned, as we continue in our commitment to offering absolute quality in everything we do.”
