Stewart Christie – a unique
shopping experience
Have you ever thought about giving
VIP groups a shopping trip they will
never forget in Scotland? Stewart
Christie & Co is the oldest bespoke
tailors in Scotland, tracing its trading
heritage back to 1720 and it is the
second oldest business in
Edinburgh.
Stewart Christie used to make
clothes for Sir Walter Scott, at the
time that he was known to stay at
Borthwick Castle. Still using many
hand crafted and traditional
methods, the tailors serve many of
the estates and castles across
Scotland, with a wide mix of
customers, including Sean Connery,
Ewan McGregor, and Jamie Fraser.
V&A Museum of Design Dundee
Opening in 2018, V&A Museum of
Design Dundee will be the first ever
dedicated design museum in
Scotland and the only other V&A
museum anywhere in the world
outside London.
The museum is an ambitious
project to reconnect the city to its
historic River Tay waterfront and will
showcase the untold story of
Scotland’s outstanding design
achievements.
The first confirmed object is
Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Oak
Room. Unseen for 50 years, this
largest of Miss Cranston’s Ingram
Street Tearooms will be
reconstructed as the counter piece
of the Scottish design galleries.
A drop of
whisky?
No trip to Scotland
would be
complete without
a night of whisky
tasting.
The largest
whisky collection
is married to
meeting space at
the Scotch Whisky
Experience on the
Royal Mile in the
heart of
Edinburgh.
