Conference Aston recorded a
10% increase in revenue for
Q1 in 2017, compared with
the same period in 2016.
The conference venue and
hotel, part of Aston University
in Birmingham, welcomed
15,000 delegates and hotel
guests between January and
March this year.
The venue came in 37%
ahead of budget, with over
4,000 day delegates passing
through its doors. The month
also saw 1,284 residential
delegates stay at the venue.
Roehampton Venues
Elm Grove Conference Centre on
the edge of Richmond Park, South
of Hammersmith Bridge and with
close links from London Waterloo, is
a purpose built conference centre
situated in the grounds of The
University of Roehampton.
The venue offers guests two floors
of meeting space The Oak Suite
that can be split into three separate
rooms boasting 98” plasma
screens for presentations, touch
screen controls for sound and floor
to ceiling windows with views over
landscaped gardens and
courtyards. Positioned either side of
the Oak Suite are two boardrooms
holding up to 10 delegates perfect
for smaller meetings or breakout
spaces. The Lime Tree Suite offers
guests the chance to look out over
SW15 and the City of London.
Situated just a short distance
from the city centre, the venues
are ideal for conferences,
exhibitions networking and dining
with open plan spaces close to
multiple meetings rooms and
lectures, theatres with integrated
AV. The eco-friendly Brooks
building at Birley has first class
meeting space and VisitEngland
4-star accredited residential
facilities all in one location.
Homerton
Homerton is part of the Cambridge
college industry, and is one of the
largest on campus. There are six
spaces available year round.
Paston Brown, the largest room
on offer, seats 120 in theatre style,
while the Alison Shrubsole room
can handle up to 60 people cabaret
style or 100 in theatre. The
Skillicorn & Bamford rooms are
identical and divided by a
soundproof movable wall. Each
room seats 24 people classroom or
boardroom style. The Auditorium
seats up to 260 in theatre style.
