team at Leeds
Beckett
University, is celebrating
record figures for the first
anniversary of Cloth Hall Court,
its dedicated conferencing
venue.
Based in the city centre and
just two minutes’ walk from
Leeds train station, the Grade
II listed building underwent a
£4.5m refurbishment that was
completed in July 2017.
Since then, there’s been a lot
to celebrate at the venue
including smashing occupancy
projections, exceeding budget
by almost £25,000 and
amassing a number of awards
for its high-spec facilities and
excellent customer service.
Clare Vidler, conferencing
manager at Well Met, said:
“The £4.5m refurbishment of
Cloth Hall Court transformed
the facilities we are able to
offer in this prime city location.
“Visitors and delegates have
been incredibly positive about
the facilities and the city
centre location is proving to be
a real winner.
“We’ve had a very busy 12
months welcoming visitors and
guests. We have hosted some
fabulous conferences from a
wide range of sectors and
industries such as the NHS
and Corporate Law to some of

• 839 events hosted
• 107,344 delegates through the doors
• £7.8m generated in enquiries for the first 12-month
period
• Cloth Hall Court welcomes up to 20 new companies
each month
• The Conference team has more than doubled in
size, from six to 13

osted the 2017 Transport Summit, sparking
national debate around transport funding for the
Northern Powerhouse
• Achieved AIM Gold accreditation
