Seoul Large-scale unique venues Seoul Museum L ocated in northern Seoul, the Seoul Museum is a high-quality exhibition facility providing 5,000m² of event space. Equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, the museum can host everything from conferences and social events to business meetings and art exhibitions. A notable part of the museum is Seokpajeong, a 19th-Century hanok, or traditional Korean house. Dongdaemun Design Plaza S ince its opening in 2014, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (ddp) has quickly become one of Seoul’s most iconic unique event venues, located in the Dongdaemun district; the heart of the Korean design industry. Since its arrival, the ddp has already become a prime location for major designrelated events including Seoul Fashion Week and international shows from Chanel and Dior. The unique structure, designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, is comprised of an exterior 14 CONFERENCE & MEETINGS WORLD covered in 45,133 aluminum panels and an open and curvaceous interior. For events, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza’s facilities include two exhibition halls (totalling 3,108sqm), two convention halls (totalling 4,540sqm) and a conference hall (414sqm). The large multicomplex also includes a range of designer and boutique stores, and its central Seoul location places it conveniently close to many of the city’s business hotels as well as shopping and entertainment offerings.
